Vanessa Laroque was born and raised on a family farm in southern Saskatchewan. Her humble beginnings have provided her with a much grounded approach to all that she does.
After graduating of the College of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan. Vanessa joined the finance industry in 1998.
Vanessa’s passion is leadership. She prides herself on being able to make good human connections and applies this in all her interactions with BMO customers while leading her team in Western Canada.
She enjoys providing the right coaching and guidance to her team of Senior Leaders in Atlantic & Western Canada to deliver financial results for the shareholders of BMO Bank of Montreal.
Vanessa strives to coach and mentor women in business and has been a proud Committee member and organizer of BMO For Women in Edmonton, AB.
In her spare time Vanessa has dedicated 10+ years to Canadian Mental Health Association in her local community. She is committed and vocal about ending the stigma and is vocal about the ‘sick not weak’ initiative. She considers herself an advocate for those that suffer from mental illness, particularly women & youth that are struggling with mental illness.
Vanessa has also been involved with the United Way and i. She is committed to ending the cycle of poverty in her community.
When she isn’t busy with community and volunteer work, Vanessa enjoys cheering on her son, Gannon, who is an avid hockey player. She also enjoys playing recreational sports of soccer, golf & biking.
