Eliza Millet

Philip Morris International Corporation

Eliza Millet joined Philip Morris International (PMI) in September 2019 as Vice President, IT Transformation reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer. In this capacity, she oversees strategic operational activities for the IT function – among them, governance and demand management of key projects, capability building for the global IT community, sourcing and vendor management, budget planning and tracking, and communications and change management. Acting as the central contact point to “run the business of IT”, Eliza also works closely with market teams to ensure consistency across various platforms, mapped through global IT dashboards to track performance and Net Promotor Scores.

Eliza also has a dotted line to PMI’s Chief Strategy Officer overseeing Strategy & Planning for the I.T. function, ensuring the department’s efforts are aligned with the organization’s overarching objectives.

Originally from South Africa, with over 20 years of experience in the IT space in Europe and her home country, Eliza has a wealth of knowledge leading global digital transformation initiatives in both B2B and B2C environments, defining new direct to customer business models through new technology. She holds a Bachelor’s and Honors degree in Science from the University of South-Africa and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from École Supérieur de Commerce in Paris (ESCP), France.

Prior to PMI, Eliza worked at SAP where she was leading their European Digital Transformation customer advisory practice. In this role, she worked with B2B and B2C business leaders in defining new direct-to-customer business models using new technologies to improve internal efficiency and customer experience across multiple touchpoints.

Prior to SAP, Eliza worked at Nestlé’s global headquarters in Vevey, Switzerland, and Shoprite Holdings in South-Africa, where she led enterprise-wide digital/CRM transformation programs. Prior to this, she worked for 10 years in Management Consulting companies Arthur Andersen and Logica Management Consulting.

Eliza is motivated by driving large scale transformational change inside organizations, leveraging blue-sky thinking, and her passion to bring big ideas to life. She is committed to developing others, encouraging them to own their career path, and to surpass their own boundaries through regularly taking steps outside of their comfort zone.

In her free time, Eliza enjoys creative pursuits such as interior design, sports, reading, photography, and art as well as quality time with friends and family.
